KBI Investigating Officer Shooting; Suspect is Dead
Medicine Lodge, KS (westernkansasnews.com) An investigation has been launched by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation after officers with the Medicine Lodge Police Department served a warrant at a home Sunday afternoon around 5. There an officer shot another man in a exchange of gunfire that killed the suspect. No officers were injured in the incident.
Authorities have identified the man as 24 year old Gary Herd, Junior of Medicine Lodge. The KBI will complete their investigation and then turn over their findings to the Barber County attorney for review.
