Kathryn Lee

Kathryn Lee, 72, died March 18, 2015 at her home in Dodge City. She was born on May 1, 1942 in Russell, the daughter of Lester and Gladys (Baral) Steinert. 

Kathryn was raised around Bunker Hill and attended school in Russell. On November 15, 1962, she married Carl Dean Lee in Dodge City. He preceded her in death on September 16, 1994. Kathryn worked as a waitress until her children were born. She then stayed at home to raise her family. She enjoyed flower gardens, especially her rose bushes, playing bingo, and lottery scratch tickets. 

She was a member of the Christ the King Lutheran Church of Dodge City. 

Kathryn is survived by one son, Shanon D. Lee and wife Rebecca; one daughter, La Shaina Lee-Flax and husband Godfrey; two granddaughters, Shanon L. Lee-Prudhomme and husband Joe and Alexa Lee; and one great granddaughter, Scarlett Lee-Prudhomme all of Dodge City. She is preceded in death by her husband Carl, her parents, and two brothers, Louis and Lee Steinert. 

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Ted Skalsky presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Friday, March 20, 2015 from noon to 5:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Kathryn Lee Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
