Kansas State Holds Off Pesky Texas Southern
Manhattan, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Rodney McGruder had a season high 26 points, and Thomas Gibson finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead Kansas State to a 76-69 victory over Texas Southern Tuesday night at Bramlage Coliseum. McGruder finished 12-of-17 from the field for K-State (8-2), who had a season high 21 assists. Raymond Penn led Texas Southern (1-10) with 18 points. The Wildcats will face the No. 8 Florida Gators Saturday night at 7 as part of the Hy-Vee Wildcat Classic at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.
