Kansas shutout by Nebraska in 8-Man All-Star Game
Crete, NE (westernkansasnews.com)–In the Kansas/Nebraska 8-Man All-Star Game, Nebraska jumped out to a 13-0 lead after the opening quarter, and never looked back as they won the fifth annual game by a count of 25-0. Nebraska picked up a second quarter touchdown and recorded a field goal and safety in the final period. Kansas was shut down offsensively, as they were limited to 95 yards total, while Nebraska finished with 278.
Playing for the Kansas team from Southwest Kansas included Kolton Meade from Ashland, Ross Binford from Kiowa County and Joe Carter from South Gray. Ashland’s Jesse Stebens and South Gray’s Jeff Blatter were among the coaches. Binford was named the Offensive MVP for the Kansas team. After winning the inaugural game between the two states, Kansas has lost four straight to Nebraska.
