Kansas Shrine Bowl selects four area players and a coach
Garden City, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Kansas Shrine Bowl Board of Directors released their selections for the 2017 Kansas Shrine Bowl that will be played at BG Products and Veterans Sports Complex in El Dorado on Saturday, July 29 at 7 pm.
Four area athletes and one coach were selected to be a part of the West team. Players include Dillon Foos of Dighton, Peyton Hill of Garden City, Thomas Sanchez of Dodge City and Dillon Williams on Holcomb.
Garden City head coach Brian Hill was selected to serve as an assistant on the West team. Each classification playing 11-man football has one coach on the staff. The head coach for the West squad will be Marc Marinelli from Goddard Eisenhower High School.
This is the first time in the 44-year history the Kansas Shrine Bowl will be played in El Dorado.
