Kansas and President Obama At Odds Over Closing GITMO

(westernkansasnews.com) Another battle is brewing in Washington and the front lines have ties in Kansas. It was announced Tuesday President Obama is moving forward with closing the terrorist detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and moving prisoners stationed there to five states including Fort Leavenworth in Kansas.

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach says in considering a lawsuit this puts him in a difficult position.

Congressional leaders are already balking at the plan.
