K-State Women Drop Road Game at Texas Tech

Lubbock, Texas (K-State Sports Information)–Despite a late rally, Kansas State suffered through one of its roughest shooting performances of the season, as Texas Tech defended its home floor with a 59-50 win on Wednesday night at the United Spirit Arena.

K-State (10-5, 1-2 Big 12) was led by Bri Craig with a career-high 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. The freshman from Lincoln, Neb., has scored in double digits in seven games this season and three of the last five. Her effort Wednesday night surpassed her career-high of 15 at UNLV on Dec. 21.

Brittany Chambers narrowly missed her fourth double-double of the season, as finished with 15 points and a team-high nine rebounds. This was Chambers’ 14th game in double figures this season and the 88th in her career. She has led K-State in rebounding in eight games this season and 44 games in her career.

For the night, the Wildcats shot .306 from the field (15-of-49) including a 5-of-22 performance from beyond the arc.

Texas Tech (12-3, 2-1 Big 12) received diverse scoring, as eight of the nine players who saw action registered points. The Lady Raiders were led by Kelsi Baker and Jackie Patterson with 14 points apiece. Baker also added eight rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal to her final stat line.

K-State returns to Bramlage to host West Virginia on Saturday at 3 p.m.
