Joyce Lucille Bohnert

Joyce Lucille Bohnert, age 74, passed away at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas on Sunday, January 11, 2015. She was born on March 24, 1940 in Scott City, Kansas, the daughter of Chester Earl & Velma Blanche Turley Fairchild. A lifetime resident of Scott City, she was a homemaker.

Memberships include the First Christian Church of Scott City, Christian Women’s Fellowship, Past Elder & Deaconess of the First Christian Church, Sunflower Swingers Square Dance Club, Genealogical Society and the Scott County Historical Society.

On July 14, 1957 she married Herbert Harry Bohnert in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on September 24, 2012 in Scott City, Kansas.

Survivors include her Four Daughters – Glenda Graham and Husband Alan of Scott City, KS, Lois Hutchins & Husband Alan of Kansas City, MO, Janet Gallardo & Husband Gabe of Garden City, KS, Lora Strandridge & Husband Ralph of Shreveport, LA, Two Brothers – Kenneth Fairchild of Newton, Kansas, Chester Fairchild of Scott City, Kansas, Ten Grandchildren and Six Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband and One Sister – Hazel Morton.

Funeral Services will be held at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2015 Steve Payne & Rev. Scott Wagner presiding.

Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. Until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
