Johnny B. Boaldin, age 82, of Elkhart, Kansas died February 6, 2015 at Morton County Special Care Unit in Elkhart, Kansas. He was born August 15, 1932 in Keyes, Oklahoma, the son of James T. Boaldin and Martha (Zinn) Boaldin.

Johnny grew up in Texas County, Oklahoma near the Kansas-Oklahoma state line west of Elkhart. He graduated from Elkhart High School. Johnny was a farmer, rancher and the inventor of the John-Ease small calf chute, which received a patent in 2012. He was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church, Elkhart, Kansas, where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher to the youth, young married and adults. Johnny served the community as a board member of the Elkhart Co-op, Morton County Fair Board and Elkhart Cemetery Board. His love of cattle and kids led him to serve several years as a 4-H beef project leader. Johnny’s family admired him for his sense of humor, living faith, tender heart and work ethic.  

On June 1, 1952 Johnny married Dixie Clampitt, she survives.

Other Survivors include three sons; Mark Boaldin and wife Tara, Steve Boaldin and wife Donna, and Thon Boaldin and wife DeLane, two daughters; Lana Tomblin and husband Kelvin, Ciana Merrell and husband Kirk, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Three brothers James Boaldin and wife Willena, Bill Boaldin and wife Pat, Bob Boaldin and wife Dian. One sister Joyce Carson and one brother-in-law Lane Sparkman. And many Nieces and nephews.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Verne Moore, one sister; Karen Sparkman, two brother-in laws; Dean Carson and Victor Clampitt, mother-in-law; Opal Coen, father-in-law; Richard Clampitt and one daughter; Jonna Lynn.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 9, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, Elkhart, Kansas with Pastor Ed Richards and Pastor Larry Olson presiding. Burial will follow at Elkhart Cemetery, Elkhart, Kansas. Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, Elkhart, Kansas.
