Joe Rios

Joe Rios, age 37, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at St Catherine Hospital. He was born September 25, 1976 at Garden City. Joe married Nancy Murillo on September 9, 2007 at Garden City, Kansas. She survives. 

Joe was a lifelong Garden City resident who enjoyed entertaining friends, family and co-workers with jokes and good food. His hobbies centered around his wife and children and included fishing, camping, bike riding and riding his motorcycle. 

He was preceded in death by Carmen Jurado and grandparents- Manuel and Hortencia Rios. 

Survivors include his wife. Nancy Rios of Garden City, Kansas; sons, Roberto Rios of Garden City, Kansas, RJ Rios of Garden City, Kansas; mother, Lupe Rios of Holcomb, Kansas; siblings, Sergio Rodriguez of Holcomb, Kansas, Jeremy Cruz of Georgia, Alfredo Rios of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jose Villanueva of Texas, Pedro Rivas of Holcomb, Kansas, Mario Rivas of Holcomb, Kansas, Brian Cruz of Lubbock, Texas, Rene Rivas of Colorado, Melinda Williams of Wichita, Kansas, Belinda Williams of Wichita, Kansas, Jolene Williams of Wichita, Kansas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and seven nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, February 1, 2014 and 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 02, 2014 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. 

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM on Monday, February 03, 2014 at Cornerstone Church, 2901 N 8th street Garden City with Pastor Neil Burum officiating.

Interment: Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. 

Memorials may be given to the Roberto and RJ Rios Educational Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
