Jerry Norton

Jerry Norton, 68 died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at his home in Garden City. He was born March 20, 1947 in Garden City the son of Jackson & Marjie (Deck) Norton.
Jerry has been a lifetime resident of Garden City. He attended Garden City schools. Jerry worked for Overhead Door in Garden City before going to work for the City of Garden City at the Cemetery department. 
On April 21, 2003 he married Cindy Rheuff Markt in Garden City. She survives. Other survivors include a step-daughter Melissa Hansen of Laramie, Wyoming; a niece Teri Nichols of Garden City; three grandchildren Anavey, Zander, and Laila; and several nieces and nephews. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers Jimmy Norton, Steven Norton, and Gerald Norton; and 2 sisters Ann Burnett and Barbara Hahn.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. There will be no calling hours. The family requests memorials given to St. Catherine Hospice in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
