Jerry Haston

Jerry Haston, age 77, of Elkhart, Kansas died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at his home in Elkhart, Kansas. He was born June 23, 1938 in Paris, Texas, the son of McGary and Maggie Millisa Haston.

Jerry grew up in California. He married Patricia Ann Scott on July 15, 1972, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in California for 25 years. Jerry drove a truck for 37 years. He also sold produce which gave him the opportunity of meeting new people, which he loved. Jerry enjoyed visiting with everyone, and you were soon considered his friend. His family was very important to him, and he made sure they were well provided for.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia of their home; sons, Bobby Joe Sauls and Larry Sauls; daughters, Anita Dymond, Connie Paris, JeriLinn Haston, and Millisa Haston; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jay Anthony Sauls; brothers, Jim Haston and Gary Haston; and sister, Sandra Haston.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church in Elkhart with Pastor Dennis Reimer officiating. The family requests memorials may be given to the Jerry Haston Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.
