Jennings: Effort to Expand Medicaid Could Be Revisited
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The legislature’s attempt to expand medicaid fell short of overriding Governor Brownback’s veto two weeks ago, but based on news that surfaced over the weekend the issue could be revived. State Representative Russ Jennings of Lakin explains.
Jennings believes its unfortunate Governor Brownback will not listen to the needs of these hospitals when the vote in the Kansas House was 81-44, three votes short of making the override successful.
