Jennie Wilson Elementary holding Ag Day Friday

Jennie Wilson Elementary School will hold an Ag Day on Friday, April 13th, from 12:20 to 3:40 p.m. The hands-on educational event will show students the essential role agriculture plays in the region. Students will participate in a number of activities related to agriculture. Local farmers and Garden City Community College students will help students bridge what they are learning in the classroom with agriculture.

There will be a number of farm animals that will be at the school for students to see and learn more about what goes into their care on a farm. Students will also see and learn about farm machinery that will be from the Garden City Community College John Deere program.

The event is made possible with the support of the Farm Bureau Association.
