Jeanne (Whitehurst) Sullivan

Jeanne (Whitehurst) Sullivan, 66 died Saturday, August 27, 2016 at her home in Garden City. She was born June 21, 1950 in Guymon, Oklahoma the daughter of Eugene & Fonda (Alden) Sullivan.
Jeanne moved with her family to Garden City when she was a child. She attended Garden City schools and graduated from Garden City High School in 1968. She then attended Garden City Community College. On August 21, 1969, she married Gary Whitehurst in Garden City. Jeanne worked most of her life in accounting and payroll for various businesses including Garden Pharmacy. She was a member of the Garden City Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed reading her bible, spending time with her family and friends, and attending all of her grandchildren’s activities.
Survivors include her four children Rachelle & husband Jarrett McGraw of Gill, Co., Lori & husband Scott Nieman of Garden City, Ks., Ginnie & husband Alfred Rincones of Garden City, Ks., and Davin & wife Maria Whitehurst of Sierra Vista, Az.; her mother Fonda Sullivan of Garden City, Ks.; three brothers Joe Sullivan of Jetmore, Ks., Jeff Sullivan of Garden City, Ks., and Jay Sullivan of Bakersfield, Ca.; 10 grandchildren Brenden Whitehurst, Brecken McGraw, Estin McGraw, Winsten McGraw, Allison Nieman, Emmy Nieman, Tevin Rincones, Nalen Rincones, Lorenz Rincones, and Aziess Whitehurst; and 1 great grandchild Asher McGraw. Jeanne is preceded in death by her father Eugene Sullivan and a sister Janice Jay.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Garden City Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Tim Fields officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. There will be no calling hours. The family request memorials given to the Garden City Church of the Nazarene in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
