Jeanette Steinkuehler, 86, died Monday, September 27, 2015 at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City. 

She was born January 9, 1929 at Dodge City, the daughter of Charles F. and Emma (Giebler) Bryan. She was a graduate of Dodge City High School and a Cimarron resident since 1949. She was a Gray County Deputy Sheriff, a bookkeeper for Magouirk Chevrolet in Cimarron and Librarian for the Cimarron City Library, retiring in 2009. 

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Cimarron. 

On July 29, 1949 she married Chris Steinkuehler, Jr. at Dodge City. He preceded her in death on October 1, 1999. 

Survivors include: 2 sons, John and wife Patricia, Council Grove and Robert “Bob” and wife Sharon, Emporia; 3 daughters, Deana Rosenbaum and husband Mike, Cimarron, Jill Briscoe and husband Paul, Montezuma and Regina Reed and husband Randy, Council Grove; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Frances Sanders and Mackey Barton and a brother, Bill Bryan. 

Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, Cimarron, with Rev. Richard Deimund officiating. Burial will follow in the Cimarron Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Cimarron.
