Jacque L. Marsh, 64 died Saturday, November 19, 2016 at her home in Lakin. She was born March 15, 1952 in Scott City, Kansas the daughter of Jack & Joyce (Whiting) Edmundson.
Jacque grew up in Dighton, Kansas where she attended school and graduated from Dighton High School in 1970. She then attended and graduated from the Garden City Community College School of Cosmetology. Jacque lived in Lawton, Oklahoma and Scott City, Kansas before moving to Lakin in 1975. She has lived in Lakin since. She began working as a secretary at KN Energy, later becoming a meter reader for KN. Jacque returned to secretarial work with KN Energy and later for the Farm Bureau Association. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, hosting family gatherings, spending time with her family, art, painting, sewing, traveling, and cooking. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Dighton, a member of the Kearny County Literary and Light Snack Society (Book Club), and a co-founder of Margaritaville.  
On June 13, 1970, Jacque married Joe L. Wilkison in Dighton, Kansas. She later married Walter E. Marsh on August 18, 1995 in Lakin, Kansas. He died on September 21, 2014. Jacque is also preceded in death by her parents and a brother Larry Edmundson.
Survivors include a son Brooke & wife Traci Wilkison of Arapaho, Nebraska; a daughter Nikki & husband Jason Harris of Lakin, Kansas; a brother Mitch Edmundson of Lakin, Kansas; a sister Mary Jo & husband Scotty Wilkison of Lakin, Kansas; and 8 grandchildren Brooklyn Wilkison, Brianna Wilkison, Bradly Wilkison, Brady Wilkison, Brody Wilkison, Rilee Harris, Jackson Harris, and Katelyn Joyce Harris.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Wesleyan Church in Lakin, Kansas with Pastors Mark & Marcelle Hamel officiating. Burial will follow at the Lakin Cemetery. Friends may call from Noon to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home in Lakin. The family request memorials given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Lakin High School Art Department, both in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Lakin.
