Irma (Paudo) Pando

Irma (Pauda) Pando, age 57, of Ulysses, Kansas, died Friday, May 10, 2019, at her home in Ulysses. She was born October 27, 1961, in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of Marcelino B. Sr. and Genabeba (Felan) Pauda.

Irma, a very devoted mother and grandmother, moved to Ulysses at a young age. She was a para-professional for USD 214 for 28 years. She also worked at Russ’ Food Center and Western Prairie Care Home. Irma loved spending time with her daughters and grandkids, and gardening. She also enjoyed going to Boothill Casino. Irma attended Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ulysses.

Irma is survived by her daughters, Melissa Pando-Grice and husband Heath of Amarillo, Texas, Amanda Tarbet and husband Michael, and Magen Delgado and husband Martin L. all of Ulysses; brothers, Jesse Joe Pauda of Lubbock, Texas, Louie Pauda and wife Olga of Ulysses, Joe Luis Pauda of Ulysses, Angel Pauda and wife Ronda of Ulysses, Albert Pauda of Jetmore, Bill Pauda and wife LaRisa of Liberal, and Sammy Pauda and wife Michelle of Ulysses; sisters, Geneva Ramos and Irene Sosa both of Ulysses; eight grandchildren, Haley Grice, Maya, Ellie, Colt and Brick Tarbet, Malaki, Maddox, and Micah Delgado.

Irma is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Dominga Esquivel; and brothers, Mark and Robert.

Vigil and Rosary service will be Wednesday, May 16, 2019, at 7:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses. Funeral mass will be Thursday, May 17, 2019, at 10:00 AM at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Reverend James E. Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Ulysses Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Memorial contributions may be given to the Down Syndrome Society of Wichita in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
