Injury and Fatality Accident Reported Over the Weekend
Liberal, KS (westernkansasnews.com) State troopers report a fatality crash shortly after 5 Saturday morning on US 54 and 8th street in Liberal. 25 year old Ramiro Palacio-Castillo of Great Bend was attempting to make a left turn in dense fog when the other driver 27 year Angel Garcia-Velaquez of Liberal rear ended the other car causing an accident that resulted in Palacio-Castillo’s death.

A driver of a semi was involved in an accident on Sunday night around 11:30 in Lane County on Kansas Route 4, thirteen miles NW of Dighton. The accident victim identified as 27 year old Daniel Jewell of Russell attempted to avoid a cow on the roadway and went into a ditch rolling over the vehicle. Jewell has been taken to Scott County Hospital for observation.
