Ida Ruth Kinser, 83, died Friday, May 8, 2015 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS.
She was born April 27, 1932 in Stevens County Kansas, the daughter of Floyd and Grace Gregg Bevan.

Ida’s family moved to Center, CO when she was six because of the dust bowl. She graduated from Center High School on May 28, 1950. On the same day, following the graduation ceremony, she married Donald “Donnie” Kinser. Donnie died on September 2, 2001.

Ida Ruth and Donnie returned to Stevens County to start their lives together on the family farm located southeast of Hugoton, KS. She loved her life on the farm and continued to live in the home they built together until her death.
Ida Ruth worked as a mother and homemaker always making sure meals were ready, laundry was done and the house was clean and ready for whatever happened each day. She helped run the family auction business, Kinser Auction Service for many years alongside her husband including the children in jobs she thought best for each child.
She enjoyed spending hours embroidering tea towels, doing needle point and tatting. All her children, grandchildren and many family members have items that were made lovingly by Ida’s hands.

She was a lifetime member of Bethel Friends Church in Hugoton and was passionate about her relationship with her Lord and Saviour. She taught Sunday school to many different age groups, vacation Bible school and started the library at Bethel Friends Church because she believed strongly in gaining knowledge. She supported Evangelical Friends Missions with a special interest in mission work in Nepal.
