TOKYO, JAPAN – The International Olympic Committee has officially set the date for the rescheduled 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games for July 23, 2021 – August 8, 2021.
The decision was reached following a conference call with the I.O.C. committee, the president of the I.O.C. and the sports international sports federations.
The games were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has shocked the entire world. Some countries were banning travel to and from Tokyo if the games were played this July like previously scheduled.
