Hoops for Hobbs Basketball Game Set For Friday Night
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The idea started around Thanksgiving on how to help Jackson Hobbs of Dodge City. The three year old son of assistant high school basketball coach Adam Hobbs and his wife Jodi was recently diagnosed with leukemia.
That is when Comanche Middle school Physical Education teacher Mary McGroarty and three of her friends came up with a youth basketball clinic and t-shirt fundraising drive.
Now everyone who bought a shirt is encouraged to wear them at Friday night’s Cimarron basketball game from United Wireless Arena.
McGroarty estimates their group has raised more than $4000.
