Honoring Those That Served
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Just ahead of Veterans Day next Tuesday the American Legion is having their annual parade Saturday morning.
Parade Chairman Roy Dixon says the focus is on all veterans especially Travis Bachman of Garden City who died from an improvised explosive device or ied while serving in Iraq seven years ago.
The American Legion will also host a hot dog and burger feed Saturday at noon. Fireworks are at 7pm.
