Once again the Holcomb Lady Longhorns used a fast start to overwhelm their opponent, scoring the game’s first 11 points, on their way to a 20-9 1st quarter lead and they kept pouring it on, leading 35-14 at halftime and 53-18 after three quarters. The Longhorns pressed early and scored 12 points off turnovers in the 1st half. Three Holcomb players scored in double figures—Taylor Deniston 20, Kylee Amos 13 and Jordan Jarnigan 11. Season-leading scorer Haley Heydman finished with only 8 points, but her scoring wasn’t needed on this night. Holcomb swept the series last year. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30, with the pregame show starting at 6:15 on KBUF.
