Hineman: Education Major Focus of Upcoming Legislative Session
Dighton, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Almost everyone of us has experienced sticker shock when looking for a new car. The legislature may have a similar moment soon when the State Supreme Court determines how much money needs to be poured into education. Incoming House Majority Leader Don Hineman of Dighton on how high it could climb.
The legislature will also need to come up with a new funding formula for education this session.
Hineman believes this is the right group to get the job done.
Western Kansas will have representation on the committee coming up with the new funding formula for both the House and the Senate.
