Cimarron boys 65, Elkhart 56-Ty Clark’s 25 points was just enough to hold off the Wildcats. Caleb Fischer was the only other Blue Jay in double figures with 13.
“I’m pretty pleased with out defense,” Cimarron Coach David Losey said. “We were able to defend the three pretty well.”

Cimarron girls 76, Elkhart 33-The Lady Blue Jay remained unbeaten thanks to four girls in double figures-led by Ashtynn Burns game-high 18 points. Cimarron outscored the Wildcats 44-22 in the first half.
“Overall I’m pleased with our defense in the second half,” Blue Jays Coach David Ediger said afterwards. “Despite having a big lead at half, we couldn’t stop their penetration.”
Goddard-Eisenhower girls 51, Dodge City 42-Free throws were the name of the game in this one; the Lady Demons 14 of them in a nine-point road loss.
“That definitely hurt us,” Head Coach Kelly Snodgrass said after the game. “But we also shot poorly from the field.”
Dodge City (2-2) managed just 23 percent shooting. Katrina Roenfeldt led the Demons with 12 points; Chandra Sain scored 11.
Goddard-Eisenhower boys 74, Dodge City 57-Tyler Buchanan sparked the Tigers with 21 points off the bench: Trevon Evans dropped 20 and the Tigers never looked back.
“They’re (Eisenhower) probably one of the five best teams in the state,” Dodge City Coach Dennis Hamilton said. “They’re very talented.”
