Hiers: Districts Need to Keep Commitment For After School Activities
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Tuesday before the Kansas Supreme Court the issue of school funding will come up again. Some districts are so money strapped they are looking at play to pay or slashing extra curricular activities including sports. USD 443 Board member Jeff Hiers believes these people are ignoring the benefits of after school activities for students.
Hiers thinks dropping extra curricular activities has bigger implications than people know.
