Hiccup on the road; Dodge falls at Trinidad
Trinidad, Co (westernkansasnews.com)-During the course of a 30-game season, teams are expected to have nights off. But when your team is off to their best start in years, any loss in the middle of the week is disappointing.
Trinidad State pushed out to an early double-digit lead–racing to a 73-69 victory on Tuesday night.
“Just never really played very well,” Conquistadors Head Coach Mark James said after the game. “We were really lethargic; no energy early on.”
The loss snapping Dodge City’s five-game winning streak.
“We just dug ourselves too big of a hole tonight,” James said. “We have to better from the tip.”
