Heritage District Re-Development Enters Next Phase
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Leisure Group of Companies along with city officials in Dodge City celebrated the groundbreaking for their new restaurant, RV park and hotel that will be built next to the new Long Branch Lagoon Water Park set to open in May. Mayor Joyce Warshaw noted the significance of bringing all this to town.
Leisure Group of Companies CEO Steve Olson says a lot of money is being poured in to make sure this project is done right.
Olson believes its important to scratch the surface in seeing the unlimited potential Dodge and Western Kansas possess.
Olson says his belief in Dodge City’s economic potential started when his company bought their first hotel in town year ago.
All together 45 million dollars of investment is being poured into Dodge City’s downtown for development in the Heritage District. The additions will come in stages over the next year.
