Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Officials from across Kansas representing small cities and towns are wrapped up the Rural Opportunities Conference Thursday.  State Secretary of Commerce Pat George put together this two day event at the Magourik Conference Center in Dodge City.

George says this conference has developed solid policies for rural areas.

George says other states have already asked Kansas about the incentives they offer through the Rural Opportunities Zone Initiative.  He explains what the program specifically does.

Seventy counties are now covered under this new program.
