Helen G. Fankhauser

Helen G. Fankhauser, 101, died Sunday, April 5, 2015 at St Catherine Hospital in Garden City. She was born April 9, 1913 at Topeka to parents Reuben & Bertha (Bersie) Beach.
She married to Roy E. Fankhauser on October 7, 1934 at Eureka. He died on January 6, 1988

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Garden City and Life Member of Order of Eastern Star.

Helen graduated from Eureka High School. She worked in retail before her marriage. In 1938 she and her husband moved to Ness City to own a Rexall Drug Store. In 1948 they moved to Garden City where she and her husband operated Fankhauser Drug Store from 1950 to 1958. Helen was a homemaker and spent winters in Arizona for 45 years. She enjoyed golfing, her bridge clubs, China Painting & dancing. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 1 Brother- Raymond Beach, 2 Sisters- Evelyn Teagarden & Mildred Ideker & 1 Granddaughter- Kathryn “Katie” Fankhauser
