Dodge City, Kan (westernkansasnews.com)-The Lady Demons have come a long way since last season. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t some carryover.

“I thought we played very well tonight,” Head Coach Charles Johnson said after the game. “But some old habits came out unfortunately.”

Well wasn’t good enough as Dodge City lost to Hays in overtime 2-1.

“We weren’t winning balls in the air very well,” Johnson said. “Hays was all game.”

The shot that beat them was off a corner kick in overtime. It was a cross that the Lady Indians controlled and found a soft spot in the Dodge defense.
