Health Task Force Determine Needs in Garden City

St. Catherine Hospital, City Recreation and the Finney County Health Department combined forces to complete a recent Health Assessment of the community needs in Garden City. Verna Weber Executive Director of the Finney County Health Coalition believes concentrating efforts achieved the desired results.

Weber also knows there’s one area where Garden City fell short.
Forty percent of births in Garden City are from women who don’t have a high school diploma. The average is 25 percent statewide.
