Hawkins Stepping Down As Police Chief
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) After a 31 year career at the Garden City Police Department and 19 as its chief, James Hawkins announced his plans to retire Tuesday.
City Manager Matt Allen had high praise for the way Hawkins did his job.
A national search will start to find Hawkins successor. Allen thinks the process will last through the summer.
