Hawkins Leadership Brought Community Together
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) After last week’s announcement that Garden City Police Chief James Hawkins was retiring following 19 years on the job the question was how his department kept up with the changing diversity of the community.
City Manager Matt Allen feels Hawkins’ ability to bridge differences was one of his greatest strengths.
Hawkins retirement is effective at the end of the month.
