Grace Smith
Grace Smith, 86, died Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Minneola District Hospital.
She was born September 25, 1930 at Garden City, the daughter of George and Ella (Koehn) Smith. She was a lifetime area resident and a 1949 graduate of Cimarron High School. She was a homemaker, wife and mother.
On February 18, 1952 she married Ernie Glen Smith at Dodge City. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2008.
Survivors include: her daughter, Glenda Hubin and husband Earl, Dodge City; a brother, Johnny Smith, Ulysses; 2 sisters, Leona Smith, Cimarron and Sarah Rose Smith, Garden City; 2 grandchildren, Brent Hubin and Mandy Fernandez and husband William Chad; 3 great grandchildren, Blake, Maeson and Carson Glen Fernandez; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bert Smith and 4 sisters, Martha Ratzlaff, Marie Ratzlaff, Frances Koehn and Pearl Smith.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, October 21, 2016 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, with Pastor Darrell Hendrickson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Dodge. Visitation will be Thursday from Noon to 8:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel.
