Governor issues legal holiday for Wed., Dec. 5
TOPEKA, KAN. — Governor Jeff Colyer has designated Wednesday, Dec. 5 as a legal holiday in observance of the National Day of Mourning for former President George H.W. Bush.
All state of Kansas offices will be closed throughout Wednesday and will reopen on Thursday, Dec. 6.
Colyer was in Washington D.C. on Monday evening at the Memorial Service for the former President, as Colyer worked under him at the White House.
