Dodge City State Rep Defends Brownback’s Education Comments

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Overstepping their authority? During last week’s State of the State Address this remark from Governor Sam Brownback drew some heat.

Brownback made the statement about the school funding case before the state Supreme Court with five of the seven justices in attendance.  Representative Bud Estes of Dodge City thinks reaction to the line was blown out of proportion.

Estes believes the governor said what many of the state legislators were already thinking.
