Glenn Herman Dohrmann

Glenn Herman Dohrmann, 96, died April 18, 2015 at Presbyterian Manor Of The Plains in Dodge City. He was born on April 8, 1919 at Hudson , Kansas the son of Herman and Pearl (Flair) Dohrmann. He grew up in the Ensign area and graduated from Ensign High School. Glenn was a WWII veteran serving in the United States Air Force. He was a longtime farmer near Ensign. On April 26, 1942 he married Geraldine Alice Powers in Dodge City. 

He was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Dodge City for over 60 years. 

Glenn is survived by two daughters, Jacque (Jon) Tyler, Yuma, Arizona and Pam (Kim) Herrman, Wichita; two sons, Mike (Chloe) Dohrmann, Ensign, and Craig (Greta) Dohrmann, Ensign; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Dohrmann, Dodge City; 14 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Geraldine on October 4, 2011, a son Dennis Dohrmann on November 14, 2010 and two sisters, Aletha Hartleroad and Bonnie Reese. 

Funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Dodge City on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Randall Jahnke presiding. Burial will follow at Ensign Cemetery in Ensign with military graveside rites by Howard Gotschall Post #1714, V.F.W. and KSARNG. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from Noon to 8 P.M.
