Georgan M. Bindley, 94, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Trinity Manor, Dodge City. 

She was born November 19, 1920 at Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of John Thomas and Lydia Lenore (Hunter) Dagenais. On July 25, 1942 she married Kent N. Bindley at Wichita, Kansas. In 1956, after Kent’s time serving in the United States Air Force, they moved to California. While in California, she worked for several nursing homes as a nurse’s aide. After retiring in 1984, they moved to Dodge City. 

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and volunteered at the Good Samaritan Center both in Dodge City. She was also a member of AARP, both locally and nationally and the Gray Ladies during WWII. 

Survivors include: 2 daughters, Pamela Grizzelle, Wofford Heights, California and Chere Donohoe and husband Bill, Windsor Heights, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, Tracie Bindley, Todd Bindley, Andrea Hultman and Scott Donohoe; and 4 great grandchildren, Nick Abild, Josh Hultman, Jake Hultman and Grant Donohoe. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lt. Kent N. Bindley on September 1, 1986, and her son, Tommy Bindley. 

Private graveside services will be held in Brown’s Grove Cemetery, Burdett, Kansas, with Rev. Dick Robbins officiating. There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.
