GCHS volleyball punches ticket to state
Wichita, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-During the past four seasons, substate has been a very sour subject when it comes to Garden City High School volleyball.
At least until Saturday.
Garden City erased years of postseason frustration by beating Wichita West 25-6, 25-6 and knocking of Haysville Campus in the finals 25-21 and 25-16.
“We came together as one,” senior Lexus Majors said afterwards. “It feels really good.”
It’s Garden City’s first trip to state since 2005.
