GCHS Lady Buff Softball Smokes Wichita North in Season Opening Games
Wichita, KS (www.westernkansasnews.com) – A New Coach and a pair of blow-out wins to start the 2013 Softball season for the Garden City Lady Buffs, with Head Coach Trina Denison guiding the Garden City girls to 24-0 and 29-0 victories over Wichita North last Friday. Both games were run rule games for the Lady Buffs only playing just 6 innings for the two games, that were scheduled to be 7 innings each for the double header. The Lady Buffs just dominated in both games collected their 24 runs from 21 hits, Kori Thornton was the winning pitcher. In game two it was the same result, as the Lady Buffs would make it a track meet over the three innings racking up 29 runs from 14 hits, Dusti Befort collected her first pitching victory. The Lady Buffs will be in action on Tuesday at Tangeman Sports Complex entertaining Goodland starting at 3:00 pm.
