GCHS Junior Drama Club Summer Camp Performance

The Garden City High School Junior Drama Club and the Garden City Recreation Commission will present the musical Seussical Jr. at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26th and at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27th in the Garden City High School Auditorium, 2720 Buffalo Way Blvd. Ticket prices are $5 for individuals and $10 for a family of four. The box office will open 45-minutes prior to the production.
The summer drama camp runs from July 15th – 27th. The camp was offered free of charge to students entering 3rd grade through exiting 9th grade.
The musical is based upon the books of Dr. Seuss. Seussical transports audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Planet of Who. The Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that’s been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant! (mtishows.com) Seussical is a story the whole family will enjoy.
