GCHS golf runner up in Dodge City

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-On most days in high school golf, a 71 would be plenty good enough to claim victory. 

But Thursday was any other day. It was, possibly, an anomaly-something that even Taylor Larsen could not explain.

Larsen’s 71 was overshadowed by Hutch’s Jack Lanham, who beat him out in a sudden-death playoff. 

“We didn’t play anywhere near our potential,” Larsen said afterwards. “But we’ll keep moving forward.”

Larsen’s team finished second behind Maize.
