GCHS golf finishes 5th at state
Manhattan, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-At the beginning of the 2016 season, Garden City made an emphatic statement following a 312 team score at Manhattan Country Club.
More than a month later in the state finals, those numbers ballooned. But in all fairness, everyone’s score was higher.
Taylor Larsen’s fifth-place finish propelled the Buffaloes into a fifth-place finish at the 2016 State Tournament. Shawnee Mission East won the team title, and Topeka Washburn Rural’s Parker Beal won the individual championship with a 2-under par.
