GCHS counseling makes changes to enrollment

Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) The Garden City High School counseling department has made changes to the enrollment process where students select their courses for the following school year. The department is working to increase efficiency and boost parent involvement. Students will need to attend one of the “You Choose” seminars during the month of February to complete the course selection process for next school year.

The “You Choose” seminars for current 10th and 11th grade students will be held: Saturday, February 10th, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 16th, from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 21st, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 22nd, from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m., and Friday, February 23rd, from 7:30 – 9:00 a.m.

Current ninth grade students will enroll for their 10th grade year during school on the morning of Tuesday, February 27th. The GCHS counselors will also conduct an informative enrollment seminar with a question and answer session for all current 9th graders and their parents/guardians on Wednesday, February 28th, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the GCHS commons area.
