GCHS bowling coach Kip Nichols named coach of the year

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-Kip Nichols said before the start of the season that it was going to be a special season. 

“I knew what we had coming back,” Nichols said back in January. 

Nearly two months later, his boys team won the program’s first-ever state title. Nearly four weeks after that, Nichols was named the 6A coach of the year. 

“What this means for the program is tremendous,” Nichols said. “I can’t even begin to explain.”

Tristan Funk was also named to the All-Kansas first team.
