GCCC Police Ready For New Concealed Carry Law

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Beginning next month, Kansas will become the fifth state to allow conceal carry without a permit.  Recently retired Garden City Police Chief James Hawkins expressed his concerns about the change before the bill was passed.  Another person who will have to deal with this new law firsthand is Garden City Community College Police Chief Rodney Dozier.

Dozier believes his department is in a good position.

Dozier says in response the new law may make him call for backup quicker.
