GCCC Music Department holding holiday concerts
Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) The Garden City Community College Department of Music has a variety of musical concerts on tap over the holiday season.
This Thursday, November 30, the GCCC Band Concert will start at 7:30 pm. On Sunday, December 3, the GCCC Department of Music will present the Christmas Vespers Concert at 3:00 pm. A guitar/rock ensemble concert is slated for December 4, at 7:00 pm. All concerts will be held in the Pauline Joyce Fine Arts Auditorium. To round out the Christmas musical offerings Tuba Christmas will be downtown Saturday, December 9, at 3:00 pm.
The Christmas Vespers Concert is a holiday tradition at GCCC. The beautiful music is a great way to get into the holiday spirit and a perfect weekend event to attend with family and friends. The GCCC Concert Choir, College Singers, Garden City First United Methodist Church and Community Chorus will perform the Christmas Vespers concert, once again, on Sunday, December 3, at 3:00 pm in the Pauline Joyce Fine Arts Auditorium. Combined Choirs and Instrumentalists will present “Fantasia Noel” arranged and orchestrated by Joshua Spacht.
