GCCC holding blood drive Wednesday to help with shortage
Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Garden City Community College and the American Red Cross are teaming up to hold a blood drive Wednesday Feb. 14.
The blood drive will be held from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. in the Dennis Perryman Athletic Complex at the college. According to the GCCC nurse Trisha Miller the need for blood is high right now.
“There has been a shortage, every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs a blood transfusion and over 44,000 units are used a day,” said Miller.
